Embodied Support for the Essential You

Heal the imprints of stress and trauma, and rediscover the deeper ground of your being that’s already whole, awake, and lovingly alive.

The body is the shore on the ocean of being.
— Sufi saying
Each of us carries a unique spark of the divine and each of us is also an inseparable part of the web of life.
— Viktor E. Frankl

If you’ve ever thought . . .

  • “I can’t stop thinking about what happened.”

  • “Is it possible to heal without reliving everything?”

  • “I just want to feel safe in my own skin”

  • “I’m exhausted from holding it all together”

  • “If I slow down, everything will fall apart”

  • “I can’t feel anything anymore”

  • “I used to feel more alive - what happened to me?”

  • “Who am I, underneath all this stress and tension?”

I’d love to show you:

  • You are not broken.

The symptoms you are experiencing are not signs of weakness or failure - they are your nervous system’s brilliant and loving way of trying to protect you.

  • Your body has a story to tell, and it has its own wisdom to impart.

It remembers the way to greater ease and wholeness, even when words fail.

  • Trauma is not what happened to you - it’s what happened inside you.

Together, we can gently work with the unfinished survival responses that got stuck in your body, allowing them to complete and resolve - in your time, at your pace, and always mindful of what is most right for you.

  • You don’t have to relive the past to heal from it.

We will rely on present-moment awareness and resourcing, in order to avoid overwhelm and increase your capacity for healing.

  • You don’t have to go it alone.

Restoration happens in connection. I will walk beside you in co-regulation, warmth, and care, back to the spacious, wise, loving awareness that has always been at the core of who you truly are.

My story

The metaphor of life as a tapestry has always resonated with me. As a former art historian, it seems a natural association. I imagine threads of various colors and textures woven into a beautiful whole, much like unique life experiences - some welcome, some challenging - all necessary in creating the final unified revelation that each of us calls ‘my life’.

It comforts me to know that each moment, no matter how remarkable, painful, or impactful, is just one thread in the larger view, and that when we zoom out, from the perspective of the weaver, we get to experience a shift in outlook that wasn’t apparent before.

The color of a traumatic event can be carried throughout our lives. Much like a discordant thread in a tapestry, it can pass through and disrupt the harmony and design of our full creative expression. Rather than hanging on the thread of a traumatic event, we can transform it through therapeutic encounters into a healing experience, for it to be fully integrated into the whole.

When I examine my own life’s tapestry, incomplete though it is, I can observe just such an interlude. At the age of 16, after the premature death of a close friend, and a severe car accident, my life took on a new hue. I didn’t really know it at the time. I was physically sound after the collision, but something had dramatically changed in my nervous system. I became more fearful, disembodied, ‘accident-prone’.  In college, I struggled to be social, and had episodes of debilitating self-doubt and apprehension. From the outside, it looked like I was studious, accommodating, and ‘peaceful’. But my inner landscape teemed with anxious and self-defeating thoughts.

I was twenty-six when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and the fatigue and overwhelm that were part of the autoimmune condition were often accompanied by a crippling inability to motivate myself to finish tasks. I had little sense of my own life force and vitality, and felt trapped between a disconcerting past and a worrisome future.

It wasn’t until more than three decades later, when I finally gained the knowledge, and acquired the language, to understand and express what I had been experiencing for most of my life, that my healing journey began. I devoted myself to learning as much as I could in service of my own healing and that of others.

My offering

My work blends nervous system regulation, subtle body awareness, parts work, and glimpse practices to gently unwind old stuck patterns and open the doorway to what Loch Kelly calls “Awake Loving Flow”.

This is not about self-improvement - its about self-remembrance.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, emotional numbness, spiritual disconnection, or simply sensing there’s more to life than managing and coping, I offer a grounded, embodied space where healing and awakening naturally emerge together.

Clients often come to me feeling stuck or disconnected - from themselves, from their relationships, or from their deeper purpose. Through Somatic Experiencing®, Effortless Mindfulness, and the insights of Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems and years of relational coaching work, I guide them toward inner clarity, emotional freedom, greater vitality, and a more loving relationship with the present moment.

Consciousness is a vast ocean and thinking is the waves and ripples on the surface of the ocean.

Kind words from clients

“I was recommended to Andrea at a time in my life when I was at my absolute lowest. I had never heard of SE before but I was desperate to try anything that could work. I was not at all prepared for the transformation she was going to help me make. Some of the most life changing things happened just months after I’d been working with her that would mold my life into a complete new one in the years to come.

Here I am three years later and we aren’t even close to being done yet, but I still drive the hour each way to see her every other weekend and don’t regret a thing. The time that I get to spend with her doing SE is time that I get to spend for myself and it is mind blowing to see how your body can respond so quickly when you’re in a safe space. There is this part of me that I lost years ago, the part of me that thrived when I was a child. Andrea has helped me not only see glimpses of that version of myself again, but also helps me to reignite it and rewire my brain to be healthier overall.”

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
